Two Ohio understudies are set for an epic Tinder date in Hawaii that has been three years really taking shape.

Kent State University understudies Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas have been occasionally writting to each other on Tinder since September 2014.

They would go months without keeping in touch with each other, and when they responded, it was with pardons such as “sorry my phone died” or “sorry was in the shower.”

Avsec presented the correspondence on Twitter a week ago, and dating network paid heed. The organization contacted the understudies Monday with an offer to send them on a first date in the location of their picking.

When the pair decided on the Hawaiian island of Maui, company agreed, but added, “you can’t take two years to pack your bags!”, AP states.

They finally met each other after sending letters for 42 years
