Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic on Wednesday summoned Serbian Ambassador to Kiev Rade Bulatovic for consultations on current issues in the relations with Ukraine.

Serbia remains committed to build good relations with Ukraine based on mutual respect and it will not let itself become collateral damage in international affairs having nothing to do with Serbia, the MFA said.

Since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis, Serbia has indicated on multiple occasions that it respects Ukrainian territorial integrity, as proven during Serbia’s OSCE chairmanship, it said.

Serbia has taken a series of concrete steps in prosecuting Serbian nationals fighting in conflicts abroad, including in War in Donbass, it said.

Dacic recalled Ukrainian mercenaries had taken part in crimes committed by Croatian forces against Serbs in Croatia but that Ukrainian country never condemned them.
